Common Areas and Facilities
GREEN AREAS
Your holiday at San Donato will be a green holiday. A wide park with century-old trees, the old pitchers now full of roses, the esse nce and fragrances of Tuscany (cypresses, oaks, pine trees and bunches of roses, lavender, jasmine ..). An equipped area for the kids with swings and slides…and wide grass fields to run and play.
A lot of tables and chairs in the shade to enjoy a glass of wine, eat something or read a book. Comfortable gardens and courtyards to sit and spendsome time together by a comfortable grill for happy barbecues.
Every corner of the farm offers a secluded green spot to enjoy the real contact with nature; and not far, some nice paths to wander around the surrounding hills for your relaxing walks immersed in the green of woods and fields.
SWIMMING POOL
For our guests a swimming pool (rectangular regular size 6×12mt. - height 1,40mt.), located in a higher position, from  where it is possible to enjoy a beautiful view of the unspoilt countryside that surrounds San Gimignano. The pool is set in a very sunny place and so the water is always warm and comfortable. All around there are tables and deck-chairs on the grass field. A nice breeze from the wood generally makes your sunbathing particularly relaxing.
The farm does not provide any towels for the swimming pool.
THE TAVERN (the former tower of the village) 
Breakfast and dinner are always served here. When it is not possible to stay in the open air, the tavern is always at our guests disposal. You can find a large TV and many games here or, if you prefer, a rich collection of books on Tuscany or the on Tuscan wines. It is always possible to taste some of our wines, or grappa or just a cup of coffee.
THE FARM FOR THE KIDS
San Donato is the ideal place for children. Here, they will discover how we live in the countryside now and how we used to a long time ago. There are  wide green areas to play in complete freedom, a park with games and a swimming pool equipped with life-belts and little boards for the younger children.
You can explore the wood at the discovery of  the ruins of Castelvecchio; visit an old archaeological Etruscan site, know the animals of the farm, learn how to make oil and wine, or ride a pony by the small ranch close to us.
We have three daughters and we know how hard it can be to travel with children. For this reason we also provide you with cradles, high-chairs and baby-bottle warmers.
YOUR DOG AND CAT ARE WELCOME AT SAN DONATO
You can not decide to go on holiday and leave at home your cats or dogs. We love animals and we will  be happy to welcome guests who decide to visit us with their dogs and cats. There are wide areas where they can move and run freely. We know some restaurants in the area where they are allowed to enter; moreover, we can also provide you with a list of beaches nearby where you can go with them for a nice day at the sea. Luna, Stella, Birillo (our dogs) and Martina (our cat) are used to having guests and will be happy to play with new friends. The only thing we ask you before leaving is to check whether they had all the recommended vaccines. A recent anti-parasite treatment will be highly appreciated (we can also provide you with it).
OTHER FACILITIES
Fattoria San Donato offers several facilities: TV in the common room, a small library specialized on Tuscany, internet access, a room for meetings, mountain-bike rental service … Nearby, a horse-riding centre (1Km), tennis court (1km), soccer and golf club (18 holes – 15 km far), beauty centre (5 km) and some spas (10 km).
